Early Saturday morning, the baggage sorting system at Terminal 2 of Cologne/Bonn Airport caused great frustration. It temporarily stopped working – much to the annoyance of air travelers. This not only caused significant delays to departure times.

Some planes took off without all their passengers , who were grounded and had to arrange alternative flights . "The planes flew without us, and the line at the Eurowings rebooking desk stretched all the way to the next terminal because there was only one woman working there," one frustrated passenger told Express.de. It's unclear how many people missed their flights. The lines were running again around 8 a.m., but the delays caused by the cancellation will continue throughout the morning.
